Language (grades 3 and 4)Homework will consist of daily reading in English and completing an online reading log as well as practicing weekly spelling words using the website Spelling City. Click on the links below to access these websites.
The online reading log, Reading Rewards, is a way for your child to keep track of his/her reading and to make comments and/or book recommendations for books he/she has read. Beginning in October, I will be awarding prizes to students who log the most number of books for reading. |
Math (Grade 4 only)
Students have been registered to use XtraMath for practicing their math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). This should be used daily in order to increase speed and accuracy of math facts. In addition to using XtraMath, any work not completed in class will be sent home. Kindly ensure it is completed and returned to school the next day.
As well, additional math pages may be sent home to practice before upcoming tests. |
Weekly spelling words will consist of high frequency words, theme and/or pattern words appropriate to the grade level. Please read the instructions below to find your list. Click on Spelling City and have fun!
